About Us

We are a "college prep" volleyball club that trains and prepares our players for college volleyball. We strive to develop our players' volleyball skills and volleyball IQ for the "next level" which necessarily develops their recruitment stock. We achieve this with a high level of specialized training emphasizing technique and tactics. We strategically compete on a national level maximizing our players' exposure to college scouts. We also actively assist our players in getting recruited by schools that best fit their academic and athletic goals. We have been successful nationally and locally. We have won National Championships, National Qualifiers and Aloha Region Championships.

We are a Hawaii volleyball club in the Aloha Region of USA Volleyball and participate in USA Volleyball and  AAU Volleyball tournaments.

The RVCH mission is to provide Hawaii's youth with a range of opportunities to participate and compete on select volleyball teams, within a competitive atmosphere. RVCH student athletes grow as individuals and as team members, forming lasting bonds through interactions with people from different cultures, ethnic backgrounds and communities.

Through the game of volleyball, RVCH strives to provide our student athletes with personal growth experiences to develop their leadership, perseverance, determination, and competitive skills.

UH Head Coach Dave Shoji, with the help of Howard Wallace, founded Rainbows Volleyball Club in 1985. The club was established to provide Hawaii's youth a place to learn a high level of competitive volleyball. Shortly after its establishment, ASICS Tiger Corp., manufacturer of athletic shoes, clothing and accessories, became a corporate sponsor and the club was then renamed to ASICS Rainbows Volleyball Club. In 1998, Luis Ramirez became the Club Director/Head Coach.  Throughout the years, the club has been known as Asics Rainbows, Rox Rainbows, RRVC.  Today, at Rainbows Volleyball Club Hawaii ( RVCH ), we continue to teach high level competitive volleyball
